Favorite Communications Resources

What are your favorite resources that make the communications part of your job easier?

My current favorite is CanvaPro. It is free for nonprofits and provides so many more options when trying to create engaging graphics!

Go and watch Canva Create to see all the new products released! My mind is blown and I'm excited to try it all out.

We also use Canva quite a bit for creating our fliers and posters that we want to share. We include a lot of google form links and QR codes to the links in our posters. We can use a random free QR code generator to made a QR code that is linked directly to a page on our website, or links to one of our sign up sheets for a specific program. Google forms has been vital for signing up volunteers, as we can gather a wide variety of information from volunteers and share resources with them much easier.

We also use the Adobe Premier for non-profits to get a discounted rate for creating videos. We build several videos for outreach purposes including our annual giving event (Giving Tuesday/ Missoula Gives). We have also found that running a speaker series in the winter is a great way to share information with the public as well as maintain volunteer engagement, but Zoom for non-profits allows us to host the series both in person and remote, and record the talk. Then we use Adobe Premier to make a video to post to YouTube. This lets us get even more engagement after the talk than we might have received on the day of.

Thanks for the tips, Stephie! Especially Adobe Premier for nonprofits ... I've just been using the editing tools in YouTube, which are a little clunky to say the least. WEN does a fantastic job of communications and outreach, and now I know at least a little of your secrets.  Smile

River Network has put out an "Inclusive Communications Guide" that is comprehensive and easy to comprehend! They will be hosting a deeper dive on September 13 at 3:30pm ET that would be worth joining (https://www.rivernetwork.org/events/digi...-movement/)
