Demonstrating Change: Monitoring for Project Effectiveness

Registration: NOW CLOSED
This workshop is intended for individuals who are involved in restoration work, water quality monitoring or management, and will outline critical considerations for designing and implementing a water quality monitoring plan to meet program objectives. Emphasis will be placed on monitoring to determine the effectiveness of best management practices (BMPs) implemented for water quality protection or restoration efforts, through classroom, hands-on and field experiences. The bulk of the training is being led by MSU Water Quality Extension. Also to be provided: Bear Awareness by Fish, Wildlife & Parks, new wetland and riparian mapping tools by Montana Wetland Council, and a demonstration of Montana Watercourse’s new online training resource, the Watershed Institute. A binder of take-home materials will be provided to participants.
A refund less a $25.00 handling fee is available through written request until April 23rd, after which no refunds will be available.
ACCOMMODATIONS & MEALS
Registration includes accommodations and all meals. Participants will share rustic houses and enjoy views of Canyon Ferry Lake.
