Montana State University has conserved 14 million gallons of water and now they’re getting credit for the efforts.
MSU has many new buildings and upon completion, they must pay a fee to the city to cover the water and wastewater usage. The university has paid more in fees than they needed.
“We have now gone through all the data collection and analysis to get us to the point where we can comfortably say we believe they’re going to have less demand than originally expected,” said Chris Saunders, City of Bozeman Community Development manager. “We can basically reimburse them for the difference.”
