Even though mid-June temperatures can be warm, the rivers in Montana are still dangerous at this time of year.
With the temperatures getting warmer and the snow pack starting to melt, experts say right now is not the best time for you to be hitting the river, even if you’re itching to get out a kayak or float tube.
In Western Montana, two people have died in the past few weeks trying to raft on dangerous rivers, including one man on Rock Creek and a man on the Clark Fork.
