Madison River committee meetings set

Meeting dates have been set for the committee charged with proposing regulations meant to ease crowding on the upper Madison River.

The Madison River Negotiated Rulemaking Committee will hold its first two-day meeting on Jan. 14 and 15, at the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks regional office in Bozeman, according to an FWP news release. Additional meetings will follow on Jan. 24 and 25, Feb. 19 and 20, and March 6 and 7.

Each meeting will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the FWP office. The meetings are open to the public, and the release said there would be opportunity for public comment at the end of each meeting day.
