The work of Tom Henderson, who worked on mine cleanups across Montana as a hydrogeologist with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, will live on through “the waters he restored.”
In honor of Henderson’s contributions to cleaning up abandoned mines that pollute that state’s waters, the Montana Watershed Coordination Council (MWCC) announced Tuesday that it will award Henderson its 2019 Watershed Stewardship Award posthumously.
“Tom’s passing left a hole in many lives, but his legacy will endure through the waters he restored,” according to the Watershed Stewardship Award Selection Committee.
