MWCC Hires New Executive Director
MWCC is excited to announce that we have hired an Executive Director – Erin Farris-Olsen of Helena!
Erin is a graduate in Environmental Studies and Communication from Carroll College and Natural Resources Law at the University of Oregon. Erin spent her younger years serving as an outdoor educator for the public school outdoor program in her home state of Oregon as well as Camp Fire Boys and Girls and the Boy Scouts of America. Erin’s passion for the Montana landscape evolved through spending her summers surveying wetlands for the Montana Department of Environmental Quality and Natural Heritage Program. She later took her passion for environmental education and conservation abroad and worked on environmental awareness campaigns in Liberia and Belize. Most recently, Erin was the program administrator for a statewide legal services program for the Montana Supreme Court and coordinated access to justice initiatives on behalf of the State Bar of Montana. Erin is excited to draw from her unique experiences to coordinate and expand MWCCs work within Montana’s diverse ecosystems and communities.
We are so excited for Erin to join our team. She’s busy getting up to speed on all things MWCC and will officially settle into the office in mid-June when she returns from a travel adventure.
