This position is part of the R6-Assistant Regional Director-Ecological Services. As a Supervisory Fish & Wildlife Biologist you will be responsible for supporting Ecological Services in a supervisory capacity.
Major Duties include:
- Employee will serve in a significant supervisory capacity as an assistant/deputy field supervisor or branch chief responsible for planning, organizing and supervising programmatic, operational and technical activities of Ecological Service offices. This role supervises specific field or regional office personnel, evaluates complex biological information, and closely coordinates, schedules and oversees daily work within various offices.
- Employee will establish and maintain strategic partnerships and productive professional relationships with agencies and individuals across Federal and State agencies, organizations, and interested parties, and will leverage in-depth knowledge of the roles of various cooperators.
- Employee is responsible for representing the Service at agency and interagency planning sessions, workshops and meetings with internal and external constituents, and is involved in the formulation, presentation and implementation of strategic plans and scientific recommendations.
