Geum Environmental Consulting, Inc. (geumconsulting.com), located in Hamilton, Montana, is seeking a GIS Specialist with well-developed programming skills to support a wide range of ecological restoration and natural resource management projects. This position may be part-time or contract basis with potential for full-time employment.

Salary range: Depends on education and experience.
Location: Hamilton, Montana with potential for remote work

Geum Environmental Consulting, Inc. is a private company that supports large scale ecosystem
restoration projects. We provide services to state and local government, Indian Tribes, conservation
organizations, foundations and private individuals. To support our clients and projects, we provide
advanced GIS analyses and develop work products based on LiDAR, drone imagery, and HEC-RAS
outputs. In addition, we create and host web-based software tools for mapping, data sharing, and
outreach. The GIS Specialist/Programmer will work with Geum’s staff and clients to provide GIS support and continue development of Geum’s existing web-based GIS and data management systems using commercial and open source development tools and APIs. The ideal candidate is proficient in GIS using ESRI’s ArcGIS suite of products, website design and back-end development. Requirements include proficiency with GIS, along with programming languages and database tools such as PHP and/or Python, HTML, MySQL, JavaScript and associated JavaScript libraries. Excellent communication skills, collaboration experience, and teamwork are essential for this role.
