Ready for an opportunity to get out of your backyard and explore places that many people never get the opportunity to experience and enjoy. We are gearing up to build our amazing field crews and we need positive and encouraging leaders. This opportunity allows you to serve alongside others from across the country who shares in your passion for hard work and conservation of wild lands. Your time with MCC will have impact you as well as the landscapes and communities you serve.
Throughout your time in the field, you’ll work hard while exploring wild lands and developing communication and a variety of skills, including leadership and technical field skills. Crew interactions are designed to enhance personal growth. This includes labor-intensive fieldwork, the rigors of camp life, and public lands education focused on connecting your day-to-day work to MCC’s mission.
2020 Season Dates: February – November
Benefits: The MCC is a host site for AmeriCorps National Service participants. As a crew leader, you will join a national service movement that is positively impacting communities and the environment nationwide. You will receive applicable certifications and licenses, including Wilderness First Aid. You will also receive a living stipend ($700 bi-weekly), health insurance, and an education award upon completion of your term of service. You can use this education award to pay for existing student loans or future education.
