If you have a passion for the environment and expertise in wildlife, a position as an Environmental Science Specialist (Specialist) may be for you! The primary focus of the Specialist will be wildlife and the effects related to mining, permitting, and the restoration process. Responsibilities of the Specialist include determining the necessary habitat conditions; conducting site inspections; evaluating reclamation plans and formulating solutions to deficiencies; determining compliance with mining regulations and permits through investigations; and ensuring appropriate reclamation goals are established and achieved.
Work environments include both office and the field. Fieldwork involves working in various climatic conditions, traveling long distances with some work below or near the edge of high walls, near heavy equipment, traversing up and down stairs, and walking on steep and rough terrain.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology or related field and 3 years of experience of wildlife experience.
