We are looking for an enthusiastic Section Supervisor (Supervisor) with an interest in leading an exciting group managing Montana’s water quality. The Supervisor provides overall direction and assistance related to compliance, training, and technical assistance for activities that impact water quality. Responsibilities include tracking and ensuring compliance with a range of wastewater discharge permits and regulations, overseeing inspections to ensure compliance with permits and federal obligations, facilitating training, explaining program activities, administering databases and managing program budgets. The Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day activities, leading staff and assigning work.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, hydrology, chemistry, or a related field and 3 years of related work experience. Demonstrated experience leading people is required, although this may be from roles other than formal supervision.
