Apply now for a North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA) Grant. The NAWCA Grants Program is a competitive, matching grants program that supports public-private partnerships carrying out projects that involve long-term protection, restoration, and/or enhancement of wetlands and associated upland habitats. The program provides grants for up to $100,000 (Small Grants) and $1 million (Standard Grants) for conservation projects in all 50 states and several territories. Partners have matched grant funds more than two-to-one, tripling the impact on the ground! Deadline for Standard Grant applications is February 23, 2018 and July 13, 2018, and the deadline for Small Grant applications is October 18, 2018.

Since September 1990, some 4,300 partners have come together to work on 1,894 projects that have received more than $1.4 billion in grants. They have contributed another $2.8 billion in matching funds to affect 33.1 million acres of habitat! Interested applicants within the Intermountain West Joint Venture region can contact Dave Smith (dave_w_smith@fws.gov) or Tina Dennison (tina.dennison@iwjv.org) for assistance with the grant application.
