It’s a long walk from Montana to St. Louis.

But that’s what a group of native Americans is doing to raise awareness about the health of the Missouri River.

Today, the walkers were traveling along Highway 77 through Macy, Winnebago and on to Sioux City.

From Sioux City, they plan to travel down the Missouri using a floating lodge.

They’ll make stops along the way to talk about their concerns over agriculture runoff and fossil fuels on the water.
