Serves as Program Manager and Staff Specialist for the Ecology and Botanical program areas with responsibility for leadership, coordination, planning, and implementation of these areas.
Provides the principle source of ecology and botany expertise supporting the Forest Land Management Plan, and other short and long range planning efforts.
Makes on-the-ground investigations of natural resource management projects, proposed botanical areas, proposed research natural areas, or other special interest areas.
Writes, reviews, and analyzes contracts and agreements. Serves as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on contracts, such as botanical inventories, invasive plant treatment, and native plant restoration projects.
Formulates and recommends policies, programs, and plans for ecosystem management on the Forest.
