MWCC’s Watershed Projects Tour in the Musselshell
When: Sept. 18-20th
Where: Harlowton, MT
Registration: $40 for MWCC partners and $60 for non-partners
Join MWCC and our Water Activities Work Group (WAWG) for a tour of the Musselshell, where we are excited to highlight past, present, and future, conservation projects that are being implemented by the Musselshell Watershed Coalition and the Missouri River Conservation Districts Council.
The best, most sustainable on-the-ground conservation occurs when the community is involved, stakeholders are engaged, agency and other expert resources are utilized, and when projects are locally led. From the massive flood in 2011, to ongoing drought, and a record breaking wildfire this summer, the Musselshell Watershed has had no shortage of hurdles. However, from these challenges unlikely partnerships are being forged, and projects implemented to ensure the continued success of the river and the community and economies that rely on it. The Watershed Projects Tour will feature the projects, and the people that make this area thrive. To View the full agenda and to register, click here
