MWCC Annual Meeting

MWCC’s Annual Meeting is an opportunity for watershed groups and agency personnel to convene in Helena for networking, information sharing, and brainstorming. This year’s program will feature state agency reports, legislative updates, and a key note presentation from Chris Smith of the Wildlife Management Institute.
MWCC Spring Training
When: April 17th and 18th

In partnership with the Montana DEQ non-point source program, MWCC is offering a two-day training on watershed restoration planning, including four primary stages: stakeholder and community engagement, drafting and development, project implementation, monitoring effectiveness, and modification. Experienced trainers will discuss planning strategies as well as technical and financial resources available for each planning stage.
Watershed Day/Wetland and Watershed Award’s Ceremony
When: March 20th
Where: Capitol in Helena
Join MWCC at the Capitol for an opportunity to interact with lawmakers and demonstrate your conservation projects and community engagement. Groups will be able to set up displays in the Rotunda and will have the opportunity to talk about their projects with decision makers. In addition, MWCC will be providing materials on effective communication with legislators at the beginning of the day, will provide materials on bills relevant to watershed groups, including conservation and funding, and will help connect you to your representative. Watershed Day will culminate with a presentation of the Wetland and Watershed Awards. This is a joint effort between the Montana Wetland Council and MWCC to recognize groups or individuals that exemplify commitment and excellence to wetland and watershed stewardship through collaborative efforts.

MWCC is partnering with DNRC CARDD Bureau to offer certified Project Management Training. This training is still being developed and more details will be provided soon.
